How it all began….
By wanting to make a difference to peoples lives.
Liz
started
her
career
as
a
carer
in
various
settings,
before
deciding
to
become
a
nurse
seven
years
later.
Her
training
career
began
when
she
became
disillusioned
with
the
poor
standards
of
care
and
lack
of
standardisation
of
care
training
that
seemed
to
largely
prevail
throughout
the
care
sector.
Feeling
the
lack
of
support
with
her
own
neurodivergence,
and
fearing
that
other
staff
might
also
feel
somewhat
handicapped,
Liz
turned
to
Neuroscience
and
Humanism-based
training
as
her
preferred
method
of
delivery,
and,
frustrated
by
a
heartfelt
passion
for
person-centred
care
that
many
care
companies
appeared
to
preach
but
not
practice,
Liz
established
AoL
Training
to
promote
and
train
others
in
the
core
principles
by
which
she
is
driven.
Liz
writes,
designs
and
compiles
courses
to
a
range
of
criteria
set
by
either
the
client
or
external
agencies
and
awarding
bodies.
We
aim to be the best at what we do and help change the face of Care one establishment at a time.

we
realise
that
both
training
and
learning
are
both
as
much
art
forms
as
science!
